Photo Series #1
Dreamy or not, autumn mornings in Cobh is an experience for the senses. It’s a time when the heavy tourist traffic is almost wound down and although you can still see some out-of-towners here and there, it’s a regenerative time for the town and the locals.
Some of the famous Cobh attractions have close their doors for the season but the fishermen are still plying the waters of the harbour, because livelihood has no downtime. Pubs and cafes are not as packed and you would most likely get a table if you come unannounced. There is freedom in ordering that pint and seating outside on a lazy afternoon.
Which brings us to the surreal fog of autumn. It covers the morning with “clouds” because we are waking up to a new feeling. Thankfulness, renewal, reconnection… only you can describe that feeling. Welcome to the inaugural exhibit of the Photo Series. I hope “Cobh on a Foggy Morning” awakens something lovely and poetic in you.
