Christmas at Cork Ireland is never the same after a visit to Cork North Pole Experience. Family with kids are in for a wonderful treat as they experience a wholesome theatrical Christmas experience. Each year brings a different theme and characters for the enjoyment of both adults and children, so feel free to check the website for their yearly theme.
Located in a secret location (according to website FAQ), the Cork North Pole Experience is actually in Cuskinny Court at Cobh Ireland. Right across the entrance is the waters of Cuskinny Beach and there’s a woodland setting on the way to the parking lot.
Booking is absolutely necessary to avail of the limited slot in the 60-80 minutes presentation. Believe it or not, the slots fill up quickly in December so book them tickets on the website or through phone. It is also advised that families arrived 15 minutes early of their booked time so they may not miss some of the activities on Outpost rooms.
This is the first stop (pic above) of the 2022 Cork North Pole Experience. This wooden cabin is the gateway for the EIT (Elves In Training) journey to being Santa’s Little Helpers. To formally begin their apprentice, little boys and girls are issued a passport and given their elves’ names. Hint: hold on to that passports because Santa will stamp them later.
Next stop is the Engineering Department aka the Santa’s Sleigh Station. How can Santa deliver all the presents without his trusted sleigh. Here this flying car is prepared and given a name. Does “Tacos” sound like a good sleigh name? You decide.
Ahhh the toy workshop, a magical place kiddos adored with twinkle in their eyes. A hands-on experience, the kids are encouraged to participate in the toy building. Be amused also on the funny scripts by the hardworking in-house elves in this room.
Mrs. Claus awaits them on the nearby kitchen room where the EITs are rewarded with a sprinkled biscuit and a drink. Then off to the man Mr Claus himself as he privately hears the christmas wishes and officially certifies the elf passport.
The experience is not complete without a toy gift from Santa, available at the Outpost Toy Store. There’s also the photo pick-up window next to the store if you want your souvenir picture with Santa. There you go, the most precious thing you could possibly see is that smile from your kid as you all walk back to the parking lot.
